André is a qualified actuary and a Chartered Investment Manager with 30 years of experience as a trusted advisor to pension plans in governance, funding, investing, finance and sustainability.

André founded Mathalian Partners to advise asset owners on their journey from traditional institutional investor to responsible institutional Investor. An encounter with David Suzuki in 2016 made him realize how capital markets had a crucial role to play on the road to a sustainable world.

André was Director at a leading ESG advisory firm, where he developed Responsible Investment policies for pension plans and asset managers. Prior to this, he was Client Portfolio Manager at a global asset manager and advised a multi-asset $1.5B university endowment on their investment strategy and their implementation of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations. He pioneered the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) practice at a major global consulting firm, helping to grow AUM from $0 to $7B from 2009 to 2018.
